It is a great honor for me to serve as President of the 114th Congress of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society at JDDW 2027. My name is Nobutsugu Abe, Professor of Surgery at Kyorin University.

With the support of our members and colleagues, I will do my best to make this congress meaningful and inspiring.

The theme of this congress is Science, Humanity, and Art in endoscopic medicine. Based on this subject, we have prepared a program that looks at both the present and the future of GI and HPB endoscopy from many different perspectives.

JDDW is a unique meeting where many specialties come together. We have planned many sessions that promote collaboration between endoscopists and surgeons.

Please join us. I sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Kobe in the autumn of 2027.
