Message from JDDW 2024 Meetings' & Congress' Presidents

Naohisa Yahagi
The 108th Congress of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society
President: Naohisa Yahagi
Cancer Center, Keio University, School of Medicine

Hello everyone, my name is Naohisa Yahagi, Professor of medicine and director of Division of Research and Development for Minimally Invasive Treatment at Cancer Center, Keio University. I will be hosting the 108th Annual Meeting of the JGES during JDDW2024. It is a great honor for me to serve as the President of the Annual Meeting of the JGES, which is renowned for its long history and tradition. We have set "New Challenges for Minimally Invasive Treatment" as our main theme for this congress. This will involve not only endoscopic treatment itself, but also various other factors such as lesion detection, early diagnosis, use of AI, and perioperative management. As a special feature of this congress, we would like to have a JGES video forum on the cutting edge of advanced minimally invasive endoscopic treatment, instead of having live demonstrations. Of course, many well-known endoscopists from around the world will be invited to give lectures and comments. Please come and join us and enjoy the congress. Thank you very much.
