Hello, everyone. I am Tatsuya Mikami from Hirosaki University. It is a great honor for me to serve as the President of the 64th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening, at JDDW 2026.

The theme of this meeting is "Toward Accurate and Effective Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening". The focus will be on colorectal and gastric cancers, which continue to have high mortality rates in Japan. Under limited medical resources, it is crucial to explore how to establish and operate screening systems that are both "accurate" and "effective." This conference aims to present a clear direction for the future of cancer screening.
