Dr. Hyunsoo Chung is an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at Seoul National University College of Medicine. He earned his MD and PhD from Yonsei University and completed a research fellowship at IRCAD in Strasbourg, France.

Dr. Chung specializes in gastrointestinal endoscopy with particular interest in AI applications, early gastric cancer, intestinal metaplasia, and advanced therapeutic procedures. He currently serves as Director of the AI Endoscopy Study Group under the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Co-director of the Education and Training Committee for the International Digestive Endoscopy Network (IDEN). He also acts as Associate Editor for the Journal of Gastric Cancer.

His research has been published in high-impact journals such as Cancer Cell, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Bioengineering & Translational Medicine. Through his clinical and academic work, He is dedicated to advancing precision endoscopy and improving early detection strategies in upper gastrointestinal cancers.
