Anne Lidor

Anne Lidor, MD, MPH is a Professor of Surgery at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health with a clinical practice focusing on minimally invasive foregut surgery and bariatric surgery. After finishing her general surgery residency training at George Washington University SOM, she went on to complete a fellowship in MIS and Bariatric Surgery at Johns Hopkins, where she also obtained her MPH degree. She then stayed on there as faculty for over 12 years before moving to Wisconsin as the Chief for the Division of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery. Her research has mainly focused on health services outcomes in benign and malignant esophageal disorders. She also has a significant commitment to medical education and served as the Clerkship Director for the Dept of Surgery at JH for many years, had served in the role of Director of the Advanced GI/MIS fellowship for 16 years ( first at JH and now at UW), is very active in the American Board of Surgery, and is the current President of the Fellowship Council.
