Recent advances in the robotic platform has facilitated an increasing number of complex operations being performed in a minimally invasive fashion. Pancreatic surgery encompasses complex operations that historically have been performed in an open fashion. This presentation will explore the intersect between the rising utilization of the robotic platform and pancreatic surgery, with video presentation of complex robotic pancreatic operations. Additionally, the presentation will review the evidence behind robotic utilization in pancreatic surgery and the rationale supporting the implementation of robotic pancreas programs.
