Asian-Pacific region is now in the limelight as one of the most active and rapidly growing source of medical information owing to a variety of innovative and unique medical research conducted by many scientists including young generation. We have unique social, cultural and genetic backgrounds different from European or American region although these backgrounds are diverse within our region. Therefore it is important for us to learn about the latest trend of approach for gastroenterological disorders in this region in order to further develop a good collaboration to achieve and contribute to a global progress. In this opportunity at the JDDW2014, we would like to invite the representatives of Asian-Pacific society of gastroenterology who have been playing leading roles in gastroenterology in each country for many years. The Panel Discussion in the JDDW 2014 is intended to foster our mutual understanding as well as set up our goals to tackle on the important health issues, which we are facing, and hopefully to establish the first action plans to take in the Asia-Pacific area. We will be honored if you can accept our invitation to this meeting.
